I first started my photography journey at sleep away camp many many (many!!!) years ago! I think I was in fifth or sixth grade, we made pin hole cameras out of shoe boxes. I still have the slightly blurry images I took of ferns on the side of a dirt path…. Maybe I should scan them and show them to you all! But for now I am just so happy to be using film photography again! The images below were all taken with a Nikonos Underwater Film Camera. They are the second set I have gotten back from the darkroom. Some are nice and sharp images, others
are soft and out of focus, but I just love them all. I love the grace that is shown in the soft underwater ocean light of our little friend Tabby… I love the joy on the faces of the children jumping in the pool, I love the peace on my sons face as he stands in the ocean….. And those are my feet sticking up out of the water, because I love floating and being weightless as much as the children.
It is the magic, the magic of film, the magic of children, the magic of water… I hope you enjoy as much as
I do!
