Angela Shenk Artist

I was very excited to meet Angela!  Everyone kept telling me how sweet and nice she is, and they were right.  She is so nice, and just as talented!

She told me her studio was at the end of the hall on the third floor, the “studio/Closet” at the end of the hall” were her exact words.  And it’s true, her studio is teeny tiny.  But just look at all the light pouring in that window!  It might be tiny, but it was full of light, and so neat.  Very cozy and organized and bright and inviting!

“There are painters who transform the sun to a yellow spot, but there are others who, with the help of their art and their intelligence, transform a yellow spot into sun.” ~Pablo Picasso

I love the drip running right off of Angela’s painting there…..  The colors of he painting, and the beach scene, and the bright light, I almost wanted to move right into her studio/closet!

Just look at all of that sunlight!  What artist would not want that?  Tiny studio…  but so sunny!  I would trade size for sun, what artist wouldn’t?!?!  I love all of color theory paintings she had hanging on the walls. I have always felt those were tiny artworks in themselves.

Then it was outside for a few head shots.  It was actually snowing, yes snowing, when we went out to do her head shots, so we had to be kind of quick.  I feel badly that we didn’t get to spend more time together, but who would have thought it was going to snow on October 15 this year?

One more in my new offering for artists…  the studio artist~diary session.  I love working with artists!  If you need your studio work documented and/or head shots please let me know if you would like to work with me!  I would love to work with you!
