Microcord Camera Favorites So Far

Microcord Camera Favorites So Far

I have been using my Microcord TLR Camera for a few months now, and while I have been doing quite a bit of double exposure images with this camera, I have also done some straight shooting.  I find it very hard to get a nice sharp image while hand holding (or having it slung around my neck) the camera, but am getting pretty good at getting a nice sharp image while using a tripod.

This really makes me think of all of the people, regular and photographers, who used these cameras when there were out new!  I really have to tip my hat to all of the regular people photographing their families, and their adventures with a TLR.   I can hardly even load it!  I have to get my photography assistant (husband!) to help load and unload the Microcord.  But still I love it so much and continue to work to feel more comfortable with it pretty much daily at this point. The second to last image, of my daughter in the trees with her net is my favorite image taken so far.

Thank you so much for looking at my work! This is a blog circle post for Film Mama, so please when you get to the bottom of my images click on the link to see Lea Lebrun Jones great film work this month!

[…] I’d love for you to visit around the circle and see some other film goodness from my fellow Film Mamas.  Check out Phyllis Meredith’s lovely work here. […]

wow Phyllis Meredith these images have such a beautiful timeless feel to them. I love that you chose black and white for them. really lovely!

These are great, you’ve done a great job with what sounds like a tricky camera! I love that long exposure of the water. You really have a great eye for composition on all of them.

wow, these are really good. I just got a TLR as well, I have only shot 2 rolls through the thing and I have yet to do a B&W one! 🙂 but i love it so far.
I love your favorite one, but also love the one with the 2 girls in the tree, it makes the girls look so small. great composition!

Beautiful! TLRs take a while to get used to. I love giving them to my students and watching them freakout. Lol.Lovely compositions! Those trees are amazing, I love the one with the two girls.
