A Family Forest Bath Session On A Lovely Spring Day

Moments in time are precious, I am so grateful to every family that invites me into their lives as a photographer. Babies change daily, teeth fall out, little kids turn into big kids, who turn into teenagers who fly before we know it. I strive to deliver images that will be treasured for generations to come. A photo shoot is an investment that you will never regret making!

As a species, we are most animated when our days and nights on Earth are touched by the natural world. We can find immeasurable joy in the birth of a child, a great work of art, or falling in love. Richard Louv

We all know that time in nature does wonders for both our physical and mental health. This family takes their time in nature seriously! Their whole property is dedicated to happy, healthy outside time. Everyone here is a natural wild child at heart. We hiked and played on rock wall, in trees, rivers and wildflower meadows. What a joy it was to spend time with this beautiful growing and changing family! I love a good forest bath photo session, and this family did not disappoint!

I have been photographing these kids for years at Two Coyotes classes and camps, and I have incorporated Liberty and Aurelia in my Feathered Project, then I had the pleasure of doing both Liberty’s maternity and then newborn shoot for the newest little member of the family. An image of Liberty from my Feathered Project will be hanging at the New Britain Museum Of American Art as part of their Nor’Easter Show going up at the end of this month!

“There are as many ways of loving as there are people, and that wildflower variety is the great beauty of this dimension of existence.”

Being a photographer we have the power to stop time, for a moment, but also forever. This QT-pie was the first of two girls I photographed over the weekend missing teeth! I love to capture images like this because before you know it, all of the baby teeth have fallen out, replaced by adult teeth, and we forget how cute this snaggle tooth phase really is. I love to think about Nia looking back at photos of her missing teeth… with her own children when they loose their first teeth! That is the magic of photography and what I strive to gift to each and every client. This very moment in time… forever!

Tiny babies are the best! Look at him sleeping all cozy next to his mama! That little ear, and his fuzzy head, that anklet made by his big sister… all priceless!
