I had the great pleasure of spending the afternoon with the beautiful and talented Sonia Morant. It was one of those early spring days when all seemed right. The grass newly grown, green and soft, the bugs just waking up, buzzing around in the late sun, looking like little fairies blessing our photo shoot. Sonia was a pleasure to work with. I loved how once we got all the business parts of this shoot done... once we had covered close up's and other required images... she really came alive, spinning and twirling and leaping as the sun set behind the trees in the meadow. My favorite part! I had a hard time limiting my choices of images for this blog post, this is just a taste of the many beautiful images we created.
“And forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair” ~Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet
And with that last leap over the soft new grass, surrounded by little bugs catching the last rays of golden sunlight, our photo shoot was over. But I honestly can't wait to work with Sonia again! I have plans for a long white dress and lots of leaping and twirling....
Until then you can hear Sonia singing at Katalina's Bakery (74 Whitney Ave, New Haven) at the opening of Mother(ing) and Child this Thursday from 4-6. I'll be there too, and I would love to see you there!
