Photographer Lili Love and I started The Seven Rainbows project on 2/24/2017! We were planning on doing the seven rainbow posts over the course of one year, 52 images posted once a week for one year. Seven times around the rainbow, each week focusing on one color with a blog post at the end of each rainbow. We have just completed rainbow #5, 2 years and 5 days later. Things in nature take their time to bloom, and so goes this project. We have two more rainbows to go after this one, which I feel we will finish in our own good time! I hope you enjoy this 5th trip through the rainbow! Below each diptych I have typed which image belongs to Phyllis Meredith Photography and which belongs to Lili Love Photography. Thank you for looking, and happy rainbow filled days to you all!

We must begin to catch hold of everything
around us, for nobody knows what we
may need. We have to carry along
the air, even; and the weight we once
thought a burden turns out to form
the pulse of our life and the compass for our brain.
Colors balance our fears, and existence
begins to clog unless our thoughts
can occur unwatched and let a fountain of essential silliness
out through our dreams. ~Mary Oliver (Excerpt from Toward The Space Age)

” May God give you…
For every storm, a rainbow,
For every tear, a smile,
For every care, a promise,
And a blessing in each trial.
For every problem life sends,
A faithful friend to share,
For every sigh, a sweet song,
And an answer for each prayer.” ~ Old Irish Blessing

Be your own artist, and always be confident in what you're doing. If you're not going to be confident, you might as well not be doing it. ~Aretha Franklin

Green is the prime color of the world, and that from which its loveliness arises. ~Pedro Calderon de la Barca
~~Seven Rainbows, Thirty Seven (Blue5)~~
“I love to soar in the boundless sky. In the vast emptiness of the blue, my soul rejoices listening to the soundless music of the wind.”
― Banani Ray, World Peace: The Voice of a Mountain Bird
~~Seven Rainbows, Thirty Eight (Indigo5)~~
“When it’s over, I want to say: all my life
I was a bride married to amazement.
I was the bridegroom, taking the world into my arms.
When it is over, I don’t want to wonder
if I have made of my life something particular, and real.
I don’t want to find myself sighing and frightened,
or full of argument.
I don’t want to end up simply having visited this world.”
― Mary Oliver
~~Seven Rainbows, Thirty Nine (Violet5)~~
“Even if fall she must, it was to lie on the earth and moulder sweetly into the roots of violets.”
― Virginia Woolf
~~Seven Rainbows, Forty (Rainbow5)~~
"Yellow is the colour of the sun.
Blue is the colour of the sky.
Green is the colour of grass.
Brown is the colour of your eyes.
Black is the colour of the night.
Orange is the colour of truth.
Red is the colour of love.
Rainbow is the colour of you.”
― Anthony T. Hincks
