I can’t believe these are Millie’s Senior Images. I have known Millie since she was five years old! Over the years we have had many pool parties, trips to the beach and museums, we have gone camping and survived a hurricane… She has been at my house at 7am for breakfast before walking down to Elementary School and an eager participant in many many years of my art classes. SO many holidays have been celebrated together, horses ridden, mountains climbed…. The kids have gone to camp, been in plays and talent shows, there has been blood, sweat, tears, many carpools and so much love shared between Millie’s family and mine.
I am so proud of the young woman you have become Millie… You have come so far from that teeny tiny five year old, but at the same time you still have that special sparkle in your eye. The same sense of adventure and joy in little things like time at the ocean. I am so glad we did your shoot here because I will always think of you as one of my best beach buddies, always running into the surf and jumping the waves. I know you will have much success in your life, and the whole future is ahead of you! There are just so many memories of so many milestones, and now here you are, a senior in High School!
“Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.” ~Harriet Tubman
As always, I strive to make my senior shoots unique and artistic. The image below was created with a Lensbaby Creative Optic… see the stars? Others were created with a Lensbaby Velvet 56, look for soft focus and a swirly bokeh background, and of course a few Polaroids were created and are posted at the bottom of this post. I created the Polaroid Images with a Vintage folding SX-70 and expired Impossible Project Film.

Polaroids stay at my house, curing in a light tight box… but get wrapped up and delivered to the families after about a month. I love handing over such beautiful and tangible one of a kind Polaroids to the families. I know they will be treasured for years and years and years to come!
I have loved watching you grow up Millie. I feel honored and proud to be a part of your journey. I saw you go to your first day of Kindergarten and do a beautiful job at your Bat Mitzvah and now you are ready to step out into the next chapter of your life. I know everyone is very proud of you!
