Emily, Dawn, 2 toddlers, 2 kiddos and an apple orchard

“The thing to do, it seems to me, is to prepare yourself so you can be a rainbow in somebody else’s cloud. Somebody who may not look like you. May not call God the same name you call God – if they call God at all. I may not dance your dances or speak your language. But be a blessing to somebody. That’s what I think.” ~Maya Angelou

Kids, Apples, Pumpkins, Loving Mama’s, Fall Colors, The smell of Apple Cider Donuts being baked and Apple Cider being pressed. There is literally no better way to celebrate the changing of the seasons here in New England! This is honestly such a perfect time to play out in nature, and I LOVE getting to come along and capture just families as they are right now.

What a super fun way to spend a rather dreary, cold (early) Saturday morning. I honestly can’t think of anything happier than hanging out in an apple orchard in October in New England with a literal living rainbow. Obviously, Rainbow is my favorite color… What is yours?

I am lucky enough to live right across the driveway from this fantastic family. When they booked a shoot with me and said they were going to be dressed in rainbow colors I was so excited. Normally I want to change every photo to black and white, and while I did change a few, these are clearly meant to be full color. Living in full color means so much, living life to your fullest, trying to see the positive and beauty all around us, even with the chaos that naturally comes with four small children living in one home. The joy is totally contagious!

These four cuties are so full of individuality and their own personalities. When I first met them the babies couldn’t even sit up, and now they are running around, laughing and trying to keep up with their two older siblings. I have loved getting to know them! These babies grow up so fast, I love capturing images all along the way. We want to remember their little faces and hands and tiny pig tails and silly faces and being small enough to toss in the air or climb up into a John Deer Tractor with total joy!
