We go to California to visit my parents every summer. If is fun, and exhausting, and beautiful and heartbreaking all at once. My father and I, and now even Caleb, take way too many photos. Here are a few of my favorite digital images I took this summer. I also brought along two Instant Polaroid cameras and took some of my favorite instant images. I will blog those another time. My mother makes beautiful keepsake books for each of our trips… I can’t wait to see this year’s book!

Harry Potter World at Universal Studio! Pure magic!
We never ever, ever, ever, EVER go to amusement parks. Too many people, too hot, to bright, too loud, too messy, too many rides… But we have a few huge Harry Potter fans aroudn here, and this was on a very high “to do” list. We are so thankful to have been able to go sepnd a day here!

Zuma Beach is perhaps beach perfection. Huge waves, soft sand, clear water, lots of sunshine. What more can you want in a beach day?
Ventura CA sunset….. Harbor, boardwalk, pier, wind, waves and golden sun sinking into the Pacific Ocean.
Best Ice Cream in the world? Perhaps yes, they have vegan too! I got toasted almond coconut. This is a yearly favorite. Meadow had lots of down time this year and missed a few of our outings. She wasn’t feeling great, so she stayed home and slept and read for 3 or so of our days, she missed ice cream, but the rest of us loved it!
